I started to loosen my timings and voila, no more USB disconnects. I then noticed in the test description that the Prime95 blend test specifically tests a lot of RAM. The first hint that it could be a RAM timing issue occurred to me when I tried running the other Prime95 torture tests, which did not trigger the USB disconnect sound. It became a real issue when I realized that my USB storage was the one constantly getting disconnected and reconnected. It would happen sporadically but pretty reliably. I was having an odd issue where on high CPU load (Prime95 blend test, for example) or during gaming, I would begin to hear the Windows ding sound indicating that a device has been disconnected/reconnected. Just wanted to let everyone know if you're getting frequent USB disconnects/reconnects with your Ryzen system, you might want to check your RAM timings. Not sure if this has been discussed or is a well known issue, so apologies if it is.
